My family of 6 adults booked 3 rooms in July 2011. July is the middle east holiday season, therefore the rooms were all fully booked. We all had junior suite and the staffs were helpful to place us in the same floor after a few rounds of confirmation. Kudos to the gentleman who help me check.

Check in:
The staffs at the check in were helpful. We were given 2 out of 3 rooms as the last one was still being cleaned. The 3rd room only came 30mins after we got the rooms. The 3rd room was done probably in a rush and the necessary stuffs like toothbrush and towels were not given.

Room:
Huge rooms with a splendid view of the Penang coast. We were staying on the 34th floor, which was a smoking floor. This is the only floor with 3 available rooms on the same floor. The rooms that we got were huge and clean. However, the smell of cigarette was quite bad and the room service took ages to come and help us spray.

The condition of the room was rather old. The sofa had stains and the couch pillow smelled musky. The carpet flooring was also very old. The wooden floor creaked badly when we walk. The blinds in the toilet was broken and i could see whatever that was happening in the bathroom. The jacuzzi was very good and a big.

The second room had the same issues as above and the toilet bowl was draining non stop. It disturbed my parents when they sleep.

Housekeeping:
This is one of the worst housekeeping service i had. Very slow in reaction. when we first check in, there were no towels in the room. The housekeeping staff came only 30min after we requested for our items. this happens to all 3 rooms.

TV:
we had 2 TVs in each room which was nice. However the reception very bad, especially for Visions and the cantonese channel.

Wifi:
Free Wifi with strong signal :)

Location:
Far walk (30min) to Gurney Hawker centre. The traffic at weekend is crazy in Gurney drive. the taxi ride cost us MYR$12 for such a short distance as no cab was willing to use the meter.
