We also provide energy efficient fireplaces, inserts, and stoves by "Avalon Firestyles." We chose this brand for it's great look, ease of install, and ease of use for customers. Our Showrooms have many models on display, and many options to choose from. Due to the State of California's requirement for all fireplace users to upgrade to EPA Phase II fireplaces, our business has greatly increased and our installers are busier than ever. History

Established in 1976.

Creative Energy Corporation was founded by Rolf Engelhard and Denis Kasten in 1976. Rolf invented a state-of-the-art equipment package to heat and filter hot tubs 24 hours a day.

In 1981, John Kasten joined the corporation as General Manager and Vice President. During that same period the industry was shifting from custom, in-ground installations to self contained, portable spas. Creative Energy elected to sell Hot Spring Spas exclusively because of the manufacturer's emphasis on reliability and economy of operation.
As HotSpring Spas grew, so did Creative Energy. In 1990, we added a second retail location in San Mateo. The spas have a definative season, so we at Creative Energy decided to retail fireplaces in the early 90's. The only brand we found to have a high level of dealer and consumer support was Avalon.
In February of 2006, a third location was added in Dublin, allowing us to now serve the entire Bay Area.

Meet the Business Owner

Creative Energy was found in in 1976 by Denis Kasten & Rolf Englehart. They specialized in buiIding custom jetted in-ground spas with a heater.1981, John Kasten joined the corporation as General Manager and Vice President. As the years have gone by, John had taken over the company and has brought his son's David (Our Operation's Manager) and John W. (San Mateo Consultant) on board to help run the business. At age 73, John still runs the company, does the majority of our site inspections and is endeared by all of our customers in the Bay Area.
